Originally from New Zealand, then based in the UK for 40 years, now living in Stratford, Christopher Norton, “the world’s most popular educational music composer”, is particularly well-known for his compositions for piano. This includes the million-selling Microjazz series and Connections for Piano. His music is popular with piano students throughout the world as well as with professional performers, because he writes well for the piano, has a subtle blend of jazz, pop and classical influences and has a distinctive style of writing that appeals to a wide range of audiences. His music features heavily on examination syllabuses world-wide. He was recently awarded an honorary licentiate from Conservatory Canada.
